Grandma Visits as a Black Swallowtail Butterfly Amidst the Spring Flowers
My Dad & I stopped to see the Spring Flowers blooming in cental TX. There were so many Bluebonnets, but this butterfly preferred the red Indian Paint Brush (I think?) flowers.
My Grandma passed away almost exactly 1 year ago from cancer, and she left this message for her family to read in her journal...
"Every step you take... Every breath you take... I'll be watching you. In the butterflies, Red birds, flowers. Everything I like, I'll be watching you till we meet again in Heaven. I love you all so very much."

It's the dogs VS a turtle! Achilles (Husky Hybrid) and Miko (Shikou / West Siberian Laika) find a turtle on our walk, so I let them investigate it. The video is shaky and I was next to running AC units, but it's interesting to see their reactions to this strange, living fortress. :P

Achilles, my jealous Husky hybrid, is upset that I'm petting Miko (my sister's Shikoku Ken / West Siberian Laika hybrid)! He nibbles and noses at her, until she jumps off the couch to defend herself, where the scene soon turns adorable. Enjoy the video of these cute dogs playing. :) The Roomba is still running in the background from their previous romp, as this took place shortly afterwards. :P

Achilles (Husky mix) and Kimiko (Shikoku Ken / West Siberian Laika) decide to have a play fight while I clean. :P Does the Roomba (iRobot) ruin the dogs romp? I certainly like how unobtrusive and relatively quiet it is! Achilles will leave the room to avoid a standard loud vacuum. Yes, that's One Piece paused on the TV. :)

Achilles ( Husky mix ) playing tug with Zulu ( Labrador and Australian Cattle Dog /Heeler mix). These silly dogs love playing rough! Zulu's favorite game is tug, but that's not the game Achilles wants to play. :P So here they are, killing their flat skunk toy while fighting each other.
Hummingbird Eggs in Nest

I found a Hummingbird nest in a tree right next to the trail in the woods. :) It was pretty low down to the ground, so I was able to take a peek inside, where I found four speckled eggs! How lucky to find some teenie tiny, itty bitty, Hummingbird Eggs still whole in the nest! I was standing on my toes to look in (plus I have shaky hands), so I apologize for the poor video quality.
HUGE Diamondback Water Snake!

SNAAAAAKE! A SNAAAAAKE! OH IT'S A SNAAAAKE!!! I came across a HUGE Diamondback Water Snake in the woods, right next to the creek! It had a partner with it that slithered away as soon as I approached, but this one just flattened itself out and stayed very still. :) Such a beautiful, cool snake! Again I apologize for the poor quality and my shaky hands. :(

My Husky Wolf play fights with another wolfdog, who gives up! Achilles wins via bites and bear growls. He then jumps up on me and stretches out. :P DiOro (the big black and brindle dog) is Wolf, Malamute, Bull Mastiff, and Australian Shepherd. Achilles is only 60 lbs. Nazerous (now Orion) the hybrid puppy barks at the camera that I just whipped out! He barks at everything... non-stop. It's actually quite annoying. Hybrid puppies fighting over who gets to lie in the hole that Rohan/Owen (the red spotted one) dug. It's THE GREAT BATTLE FOR THE HOLE! It's an adorable yet fierce puppy fight that will go down in history! :P The black puppy in the hole was named Wicket, and the Shepherd looking puppy is named Takoda. They're brothers from the same litter. :)

This is the puppy who was afraid of the kettle! The first guy speaking is mistaken about the scent-rubbing... wolves/dogs don't rub to 'claim.' Cats do that, but for wolves/dogs the motive is different -- they scent rub to collect scents on their coat which they find interesting. If you've ever wondered why dogs roll on nasty stuff like carcasses or poop, this is the reason why.
my dog looks almost exactly like a fox. they do the same motions, same size. same body features, and near the same color! i searched up “pomski” the dog i have and i never found a fur color like hers! Sometimes i think she’s actually a fox they make similar noises to lol
